Surfers Supplies owners Greg Beck and Andrew Funk, the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, local and county dignitaries and members of the business community, joined Wednesday to celebrate the grand opening of the popular business in Surf Mall, located at 11th and Boardwalk.
Surfers Supplies is new to the iconic Surf Mall, which is owned by brothers, Wes and Chris Kazmarck who attended the ceremony, but not new to the business. Surfers Supplies has been a surfer’s staple for 63 years. Their other Surfers Supplies location is at 3101 Asbury Avenue.
Michele Gillian, executive director of the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, wished the owners much luck and noted the significance of their well-known business opening a second location in the landmark business, Surf Mall.
Mayor Jay Gillian did the countdown and Surfers Supplies co-owner Greg Beck snipped the ribbon with oversized scissors to the applause of the attendees.
