Nearly 200 participants filled the Atlantic City Boardwalk with energy and purpose on Sunday, April 27, as they joined Mosaic’s 15th Annual 5K Run & Health Walk and 1 Mile Family Fun Run & Walk. The event raised $8,000 to support Alzheimer’s and dementia outreach programs that bring connection, comfort, and care to those affected by these challenging conditions.

“This disease affects entire families, not just individuals,” said Jason Goldstein, president of the Mosaic board of directors. “We walk and run to ensure that programs like Mosaic’s continue to make a real difference in people’s lives—helping them find strength even in the hardest moments.”

Participants of all ages—from toddlers to octogenarians—joined in the cause, making it a true family and community celebration. Among the largest teams was Kool Runnings, organized by a local family.  Timing and results were managed by South Jersey Race Timing. First place finishers were Josh Corsentino in men’s and Jessica Sbat in women’s.

The event began and ended at Stockton University’s Atlantic City campus. Stockton’s staff and administrators turned out in force to show their support. The day was emceed by Frank Marascio, with Miss South Jersey Molly Marie Pugliese lending her voice for the national anthem. Volunteers from the 177th Fighter Wing NJ Air National Guard were on hand, providing support throughout the event.

The event was made possible by a dedicated committee of volunteers: Eric Share, chair; Brian Jackson; Fran Streeper; Janice Cambron; Antonio Tronco; Jayne Marascio; Tina Marchesano; Angelina Pollino; and Erin Luurtsema.
